The importance of external control to keep your warehouse shelves efficient
The periodic inspection is an intervention required by the UNI EN 15635 standard (Static steel storage systems - Use and maintenance of the storage equipment) which provides for the control of the warehouse shelving by an expert validator who must certify the good condition.
The periodic control must take place with a frequency not exceeding 12 months. At the end of the inspection, the validator will issue a certificate to be shown in case of requests from the competent authorities.

Shelving maintenance is a problem more connected to workplace safety than to production efficiency.
The idea that a shelving could collapse is mistakenly considered as a rare or easily identifiable event, but the reality of the facts and the experience accumulated over time, shows that this is not the case at all.
The shelves, even those just assembled, can incur structural failures due to various factors. It is wrong to think that the only causes may be due to collisions with forklifts or pallet racks.
